Design before equipment is ordered

The model number is only part of the decision. Green Spirit considers heating and cooling loads, distribution, ductwork, electrical capacity, insulation, air leakage, control strategy, noise, and future plans before recommending a system.

This helps reduce the risk of short cycling, uneven temperatures, noisy equipment, high operating costs, and overreliance on backup heat.

Older Minnesota homes

Older Twin Cities homes often have boilers, radiators, limited ductwork, finished spaces, and electrical constraints. Green Spirit reviews those conditions before recommending equipment.

Options may include a compact ducted system, ductless equipment, a hybrid boiler and heat pump approach, phased electrification, or targeted envelope improvements that reduce the heating load.

Nick Bender designs the system and coordinates trade partners for installation. Homeowners have one point of contact who understands the goals and the reasons behind the design.
